Studying the River

blogging is a new verb for me.
and the percussion that goes with it is sensual for sure.
The sound of one hand typing.

I am going insane trying to finish my book
Pilgrimage and Power.
I am a professional indexer.
Now this is where I start to get confused.

In Journaling I address no one
its just the sound of the pen
and the open window blah blah blah

but blogging
is like the hybrid of emailing and journaling.
an email to no one that everyone reads.

My blog is big in Japan baby.

So who am I addressing
I think blogging has hit upon the very crux of Zen

it's holding the beach ball underwater for the rest of time

you know because you are fully isolated
and yet there is more self consciousness in blogging
because it is a browseable virtual artifact.

Jouraling is primal and raw
and you burn through to the truth
where the panther spelunks your empty rib cage
looking for anything consumbable

whereas blogging is more like travel writing
a nice formal distance from you and your audience

Hi I'm David Hurlin
wow the Sistine Chapel is so much more vivid in real life.

so really is the gap between journaling and blogging
self created

is it dishonest to have different aesthetics
or should we let the panther into the playground.

Quee Queg is on my mind.
falling into the sea like an astronaut
like cupid

i feel like i'm writing poetry
on a talk show
that is the blogging life.

it's implied reality TV.
it's shouting into a cave
and having the echoes come back with their own personality

it's exciting to have a forum
for this public privacy.

I like this.
World I love you.
Yes this public privacy
is the voice of my silent optimism
in a world of shocking variance
from the electric universe
in a single drop of water
to the mind numbing actions of the angry mob of collective consciousness
there has to be a harmony that is accessible to everyone.
a note that everyone can hum
even the deaf
with the image of a whole note
like a planet
revolving in the silence of its own revolution
emitting a frequency
that can open hearts and elevate life
from suffering into exaltation

Cling not to the boundaries of your religion
rather let God exist everywhere
in the indestructible temple of the ubiquitous NOW
study the way a river moves
perpetually falling toward horizontal
and your mind will be at ease my lovely friends.

I have decided to take the pressure off of blogging for myself.
in fact blogging is a similar to the sensation one feels when looking up at the stars. It is just breathing in an awkward position
feeling relatively unimportant but deeply inspired at the same time.

For example I am eating a fake sausage right now.
Last night I learned the word autochthonous which means found in the place it was made.

I also learned about Quee Queg's journey into the head of the whale.
Or was it the heart?

Drumming is a like creating an avalanche through divine mischief and then skiing down your own annihilation.

I am very excited about working with Artichoke and the Evangenitals.
