TREE RESSURECTION

I found a piece of a tree outside the redwood bar and grill.
So I made a newspaper stand look like a tree.
Then the guitar player of the band Johnny Hootrock
Clem Hoot took a picture of it in front of his Texas tour van
with an illuminated Los Angeles in the background.
I asked him to email the picture
because I was proud of my sculpture,
of my desire for nature overtake us.
It reminded me of the Talking Heads song
"(Nothing but) Flowers"
I'm sad.
